ABOUT US

This website is dedicated to Schuler the cat, (top right) found when only a few weeks old when someone ran over a box in parking lot. Schuler was the lucky one, he had a sibling that didn't make it. A search ensued to find a home for this little survivor and it came to light that many animals were already being fostered that need homes. We hope to help. Please contact us if we can...

Mission

The purpose of this website is to provide a place for homeless animals to be listed when they are available for adoption. When an animal shelter is not available or appropriate, we offer an opportunity for people to find homes for animals who need them. For the people who are rescuing animals off the street and fostering them in their homes, and people who have to give up their beloved pets because of changing circumstances, this site offers assistance by providing a listing service.

People who wish to contact us directly about listing animals may do so here.

UPDATE APRIL 29 - China is adopted, Chief still needs a home.
MARCH - FOUND TIED TO A TREE - In need of adoption or foster homes. 4/8/12 - Rescued by Muddy Paws Dogslegging of Jefferson, NH from the Franklin, NH Animal Shelter where they were taken.

Chief - (left) Age approx. 3 - Neutered Male - Friendly, energetic husky needing an active home. Chief would enjoy finding a hiking companion and someone to cuddle with in the evenings. He is a "leaner" and loves to be petted. He would like to learn pulling activities with his new family and Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel will provide free lifetime support and training for his new adopted home so they can learn to work with him and give him a "job" pulling skis, bikes, etc. Chief needs an inside home. While he would enjoy being adopted with the dog he came with (China who is likely related... mother?), this is not mandatory. Chief has a sad story, he was abandoned in the woods tied to a tree but he doesn't hold it against anyone and is a loving guy just looking for a nice family. Foster or "foster to adopt"homes welcome!

China - (right) Age approx. 5 - Spayed female - Friendly, husky, bi-colored eyes, maybe Chief's mother or sister? China walks nicely on a leash, enjoys pulling in a harness, but is not as active as Chief. She would do well in a home along with Chief or by herself with an older couple looking for a calmer companion that is happy with leisurely walks or just hanging out. China may also enjoy learning to pull with his new family and Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel will provide free lifetime support and training for his new adopted home so they can learn to work with him and give him a "job" pulling skis, bikes, etc. China needs an inside home. China was found tied to a tree with Chief, but despite a tough story, she is loving and enjoys her walks and visits by our volunteers. Foster or "foster to adopt" homes welcome!

We are hoping to find them foster or adoptive homes without cats but will cat test if the applicant has feline companions already! Karen 603-545-4533 Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel & Raft NH

NOW ADOPTED! - FOUND IN SHELBURNE - 2/28/12 - This sweet older female cat was found in Shelburne, NH late February. No one claimed her and she was in a foster home.

3/16/12 - This older cat was found in Shelburne and is staying with Heidi Behling. Heidi says "She is a great little old gal who loves to sleep and eat! She also enjoys some personal attention and has a very strong purr. She has not gotten along with either my cat or my dogs and we feel that she would be best in a home by herself. We have her on antibiotics right now and she is up to date on all of her shots and is free from disease." Please call Heidi 466-5663
5/11/12 - Although this cats owner was found, Sweetie Pie has has settled in and they have agreed that her foster home will become her forever home!
